From its inception, Mediapeel™ has supported and allowed only permission-based
email marketing practices. Mediapeel does not allow the sending of unsolicited commercial email, or "spamming," under any circumstances.
In fact, Mediapeel was designed to give legitimate marketers an alternative to sending unsolicited emails.
All Mediapeel users are required to abide by the Mediapeel Acceptable Use Policy as well as all relevant laws regarding email marketing, including the CAN-SPAM Act.
The owners and management of Mediapeel believe strongly that both the policy and the new law promote responsible, professional, customer-focused practices that benefit both customers and legitimate marketers.

Because Mediapeel was developed from the beginning to promote only
permission-based email marketing practices, the service makes it easy
for all users to comply with all requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act.

The new law requires email marketers to
include links for, and recognize without question, unsubscribe requests. These
links are already a standard feature and requirement for all messages sent using
Mediapeel.

Under the CAN-SPAM Act, email marketers cannot
disguise the origin of emails by present misleading information in the
"From" field or header information. Mediapeel’s Acceptable Use Policy
prohibits users from any attempt to misrepresent or deceive recipients
regarding the origin of any email message.

The new law requires email marketers to conspicuously state
that all commercial mail is an advertisement, unless the recipient has opted in.
From the beginning, Mediapeel has required, and continues to require, that the
service be used only for permission-based lists. makes it easy for users to build
and manage opt-in lists to reach customers easily and effectively. In
addition, the service performs a double opt-in method of verification
for those that subscribe to a client’s list through the Internet. |
